The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to your community.

SASSA will be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the substantial number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] SRD is to reach-out to some higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The services level developed for intervention experiences a higher inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to sassa status check attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
